Lodestone Catalog was an audio production and distribution company owned and
operated by John Weber. Their specialty was in offering the finest in modern
"audio theater" recordings. While they carried a small collection of
old-time radio broadcasts, the main focus of the company was on modren and current
audio theater productions. This included the most extensive line of
Firesign Theatre audio & video currently available anywhere. Their previous site catalog and shopping cart was ahead of the curve at the time it came online in 1996, but by 2000 the internet and web programming had matured to the point where both the site and the catalog/cart were in serious need of a redesign and makeover. I rebuilt the catalog/shopping cart application in the winter months of 2000, when Richard Fish was the owner. He sold the business to John in 2004, at which time John had me alter the appearance of the catalog/cart to match his design changes to the static pages on the rest of the site, as well as to incorporate a few simple changes to the online order process. In 2006, John had me redesign and rewrite all the shopping cart portion of code. The order process has been segmented and streamlined, a shipping rate calculator for international orders has been incorporated, and a bevy of new administrative functions have been written to make it easier for John to manage and handle shopping cart operation and administration. Alas, all this work became moot when John shut down the company in 2007. He left the site up as an information source but no longer takes orders (sigh). |
